Classic Red Check Bandana

Dyed with natural madder root, pomegranate, and iron earth. You can use these bandana to play chess or checkers along with keeping your neck cozy warm.

Sometimes referred to as “raw-silk”, silk noil yarns are spun from shorter fibers leftover from the spinning and manufacture of other silk fabrics. Silk bandanas make a great travel companion, keeping you comfortable in both hot and cold climates. Silk noil has a varied, nubby texture and matte surface that somewhat resembles a handwoven cotton. The unique texture can be best described as 'cozy'. They also work great tied up in your hair, as the nubby silk stays put and doesn't slip. The more you wear your bandana, the softer it will become.

Care Guide

Hand wash or gentle cycle with cold water using a mild pH-neutral detergent to preserve color. Wash with like colors.

Tumble dry low. You can further soften your bandanna with a dryer sheet or ball. It will also soften back up with wear.

Master artisans dye our silk bandanas providing the maximum color fastness possible. However, all naturally dyed fabrics will inevitably fade with washing and time. Sweat and skin oils may shift color as well. We call this “Beausage” (Beauty+Usage).

I love Last Chance's silk bandanas. I also love the cotton ones, but this eggshell starry one is my newest and therefore current favorite. The icy blue/green color is a perfect alternative to white and the starry pattern is unique and subtle and fun. I wear a bandana every day, they are the best accessory and these are high quality, last for years and the color choices are phenomenal. My wish is for a black silk noil bandana since the black cotton one is my most frequent go-to and I just ordered a replacement after 4 years of regular wear. Black silk would be dreamy.

Thanks for the review Wendy! I would love to figure out a way to make a black silk noil bandana for you. The color is a bit tricky with the natural dyes we use on the silk and even more difficult to apply a pattern afterwards. One of these days we might figure it out. ;)

The perfect gift

The silk Rosey in Cameo Pink is the first silk bandana that I've purchased from Last Chance, and the third bandana that I've bought as a gift in the last year. There are a lot of people in my life who are hard to shop for and these bandanas have been major crowd pleasers! Really happy with the quality of the silk. It's soft but still has enough texture to have some grip to it. Good for a secure knot and has a bit more staying power than cotton if you wear bandanas in your hair.

The best

I bought my fist raw silk bandana from Last Chance 6 years ago and now have a small collection that I wear all the time. The weight and texture of this fabric is so good. It’s the perfect warmth around my neck year round (and in the summer is great for mopping up sweat). The colors are fantastic and the patterns are great. Love love love them!
