Light Silk Cowboy Scarf - Odel in Tobacco

$96.00

Handwoven Square Scarf

Approximately 36" by 36"

Strut the range in style with Odel Handwoven Cowboy Scarf! A classy windowpane with honey and jade stripes on a warm tobacco brown ground. The featherweight silk has a subtle, lustrous shine and a beautifully 'lived-in' texture that feels great against the skin.

Wear it wild rag style!  This scarf can be worn loosely rolled on the diagonal and wrapped around the neck. We also love folding it into a triangle, placing that at your chest, and crisscrossing the tails behind your neck. The tails can hang loose in the front or be tied into a knot.

About Karghewale

To develop the fine silk fabrics used in this collection, Last Chance Textiles engaged with the India-based initiative Karghewale. The mission of Karghewale is to empower artisans to build robust businesses that express their distinctive creative vision. What differentiates Karghewale is the belief that weavers are equal partners in the business, not mere wage workers who will weave a set design and be paid per-meter wages.

"We believe in the agency of artisans to transcend impediments in traditional value chains, to co-create, manage business, and sell the final products directly to the end consumer."-Nivedita Rai, Founder

Care Guide

Hand wash cold or machine wash using a mesh bag and gentle cycle. Only use mild detergents. Hang dry or tumble dry low with a soft towel to prevent bunching.

Please note: After washing, the handspun khadi yarns may become softer and develop a crepe-like texture. This effect is called gudi mudi meaning "scrunched" in the local language of Maheshwar.
