Factory Partners

Our SILK NOIL BANDANAS and WRAPS are made in an ethical, family-owned factory in Mumbai, India. The factory has a 4 pillar ethical certification called SEDEX-SMETA. This covers social, environmental, safety and business ethics. A social audit is one of the best ways to understand working conditions. This certification ensures our garment professionals are working in a place that meets the fair labor conventions put forth by the International Labor Organization

Our signature COTTON BANDANAS are produced by a woman-led facility in northern, India.  Social and environmental certifications include SA 8000, Verified Higg Index, Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), Global Recycled Standard (GRS), and SMETA. Certifications matter, but so do values. That’s why we chose a partner who's building programs that care for both people and the planet. A portion of profits support a family foundation that provides education for underprivileged girls, with a promise to see them through until they are self-sufficient. On the environmental side, our factory purifies and recycles its water, using it to grow thriving groves of eucalyptus and pine trees.

Our CHAINSTITCH SILK NOIL BANDANAS and BINDLE BAGS are made at a state of the art facility in southern India. This factory initially reached out to us and made such a lovely impression, I wanted to work with them but was well situated with the above factories.  After several years we finally found the right project for them!  They definitely are open to collaboration and making my more out-of-the-box ideas a reality.  Certifications include Fair Trade, GOTS, GRS, ISO900, OEKO-TEX, and SMETA.

Our SILK TWILL and BIG HONCHO scarves and are create by a certified silk and scarf specialist in China, the birthplace of the sericulture. After years of searching for a partner who could deliver the color depth and clarity we wanted on both sides of the fabric, we found them. Their facility is purpose-built for silk scarf printing, so the details that matter to us matter to them too. They hold SMETA 4 Pillar, ISO 900, GOTS, BLUESIGN, and OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certifications and have realized a full adoption of eco-friendly dyes and ink.

Artisan Partners

Our ARTISAN COLLABORATIONS range from Texas to India and take place in smaller workshops. When working abroad we connect directly with the artisans or use well-vetted local heritage arts experts and non-profit initiatives to aid in projects and communications. The artisans set the price and we don't push back.

India

Our BLOCKPRINT SCARVES are hand block printed by Jaipur-based textile designer Shaivyya Gupta. Working from her small studio on the outskirts of the city, Shaivyya uses a three-century-old craft tradition as her jumping-off point — then makes it entirely her own. Shaivyya is known for her colorful aesthetic that infuses the local Jaipur design vernacular with historic architectural details and op-art compositions. Then she works with master block printer artisans to lay these patterns down. She reached out to us to collaborate after meeting in her studio on a trip, and we said yes immediately.

Our KHADI COWBOY SCARVES are produced by WomenWeave, a registered Charitable Trust based in Maheshwar, India that has supported the role of women in hand-loom weaving since 2002. Their work focuses on making handloom a sustainable, dignified, income-earning, and life-improving activity. Many of the women have never woven before and WW therefore provides them with training to maximize their livelihood.

Our LIGHT SILK COWBOY and OG POLKA DOT scarves are made in collaboration with Karghewale whose mission is to empower artisans to build robust businesses that express their distinctive creative vision. Challenging the status quo of the handloom industry, Karghewale rejects the model of weavers as wage workers. Instead, the collective is built on the belief that weavers are equal partners, valued not only for their skill at the loom, but for their agency and entrepreneurial judgment.

Texas

Our EMBROIDERED SIGNATURE BANDANAS are a collaboration between Last Chance and Lacy of Die Trying.   Ever since 2018 we send bundles of bandanas down to Texas for her to embellish with her antique chain stitch machine. Each DieTrying TX piece is created using the same hand operated vintage chainstitch machines that were used to create traditional western wear. While most embroidery today is computerized and mass produced, the work done on these vintage machines is hand done and made one piece at a time.

Most of our LEATHER SLIDES are handmade by Guillermo Cuevas, the one-man show behind of Dunnrite Leather.  During a transitional period in his life he began creating and selling leather goods and fell deep in love with the craft. Guillermo's obsession with vintage fashions, music, pop culture, and Americana, as well as his Mexican heritage, fuels his craving to create timeless, and durable pieces.

In-House Production Here in Oregon

We create and embellish some of our own products right here in our Portland, OR Studio. Our braided leather slides are created by our own team.  Former studio manager Olivia Schroeder is producing some pieces for our Autumn 2026 collection on her hand-operated knitting machine as well as embellishing our stitched cashmere triangle scarves(coming soon).  We also do all of our custom stitching in-house on a hand-operated chainstitch machine.
