Cushy-Squishy Knit Scarf

This is the one you’ll want on hand when those really chilly days roll around. Our Plushy Merino is a double-thick triangle knit that’s soft, lightweight, and wonderfully warm without being fussy. Tie it around your neck, tuck it into your jacket, or pull it up under your chin when the wind starts acting up.

Made from 100% pure merino wool, each one is knit one at a time in Portland by our former studio manager and dear friend, Olivia Schroeder. She makes each one at home, with the hope that it’ll become one of those trusty cold-weather pieces you reach for year after year.

Made to order, one at a time. Please allow 2+ weeks for development.

Custom chainstitch orders require an additional 7-10 days of production time.

We accept returns within 14 days of delivery
Items must be unworn, unused, with tags attached, in original packaging, and accompanied by proof of purchase.
Returns and exchanges are available to US customers only. International orders and custom embroidery items are final sale.

HANDMADE IN PORTLAND, OREGON

Each piece is knit in-house at our studio on a hand-operated machine by our studio manager, Olivia. Using a punch card, she guides the needles and two colors of yarn into a diamond dot pattern, refined through careful trial and error to strike just the right balance of composition and contrast.

As the carriage glides back and forth, the rhythmic clicking of needles fills the studio, building the fabric one row at a time. This style of knitting dates back to 1589, when William Lee invented its earliest form. Olivia’s machine reflects improvements from the 1950s, with a movable carriage and a design that has remained largely unchanged since.
