Handwoven Square Scarf

Approximately 36" by 36"

Strut the range in style with Odel Handwoven Cowboy Scarf! A classy windowpane with honey and rosey-red stripes on a warm plum purple ground. The featherweight silk has a subtle, lustrous shine and a beautifully 'lived-in' texture that feels great against the skin.

Wear it wild rag style!  Fold into a triangle at your chest, then crisscross the tails behind your neck, bring them around to the front and tie into the knot of your choice.

- 100% Silk
- Handwoven in West Bengal, India
- Narrow Folded Hem
- Yarns dyed AZO-Free Dyes
- Approximately 38" by 38"

Please note: Due to the hand-made quality, each scarf is unique and may vary slightly from the picture.

Hand wash cold or machine wash using a mesh bag and gentle cycle. Only use mild detergents. Hang dry or tumble dry low with a soft towel to prevent bunching.

Please note: After washing, the handspun khadi yarns may become softer and develop a crepe-like texture. This effect is called gudi mudi meaning "scrunched" in the local language of Maheshwar.

ABOUT THE ARTISANS

The mission of Karghewale is to empower artisans to build robust businesses that express their distinctive creative vision. Challenging the status quo of the handloom industry, Karghewale rejects the model of weavers as wage workers. Instead, the collective is built on the belief that weavers are equal partners, valued not only for their skill at the loom, but for their agency and entrepreneurial judgment.

Our Light Silk Cowboy scarves are created by weaver and entreprener Alpana Dey in Murshidabad, West Bengal, a region famous for its fine, precise, and lightweight handwovens. Each scarf comes with a tag that features the name of the hand weaver.
